Coffee Art

Yes, it is the so called lecture-free time of the University...

And yes, others would call it a holiday.

But I wouldn't call it a holiday. At least not until the end of January. I am currently writing on a few different papers and essays I have to hand in until the end of the month. This means writing a total of 20'000 words...

So what's the fuel that runs through my veins at the moment? What keeps me going? In a very exaggerated sense it's coffee! And not just any coffee, I'm a fan of cappuccino - I actually can't drink coffee without a lot of sugar and milk, so cappuccino is the perfect fit for me :)

Obviously, I wouldn't spend so much time on my cappuccino as these artist... but hey, their coffee artwork are just great. Don't you think?!

Haha, I think if I really tried I would be able to Angry Bird one or the one on the bottom right. For all the other ones, I'm not so sure! But I'm pretty sure the one with the dragon would take so much time that your coffee would already be cold once your finished... Not exactly what you want!

I think I will have a hot chocolate now... one can need a little change from time to time ;)

obsessed with pinterest

I'll be honest with you... actually, I always am. Quite scarry, now that I think of it ;) the thing I'm gonna be honest about today is an obsession, an addiction. Yes, I'm addicted - addicted to Pinterest.

I haven't spent a day lately (meaning the last 3 days) without being on Pinterest. This website/social network/internet service is just amazing. It's actually just a huge virtual pinboard, where you can collect things you love/like and follow friends that like the same things.

Pinterest is full of inspirations! Every day, I find like hundreds of things I like, ideas for a future home, diy and crafty stuff, travel inspirations, fashion pictures, great recipes and deco ideas... I could already do like fifty posts with thingsI found on Pinterest and which I would love to have/do!

But I'd better stopp swarming and drooling. Should you ever need an idea for anything: go there! And try not to spend to much time there... because I'm sure you'll get addicted just as quickly as I was. Very dangerous!

So back to my inspiration hunt - repin, repin repin!!!
xoxo linskaya

P.S. Luckly, I'll be in Germany for the next four days and won't have a chance to go to the internet. Maybe that will help to break my pinterest-obsession.

P.P.S. Should you want to follow my obsession, you can do that here.

art journaling

Keeping a journal was never one of my strengths. I started about seven diaries, but I always lost my interest after a few weeks. Maybe this project is thus doomed to fail as well, but it has kept my interest for several months now… a new record!

I started art journaling after I had seen some videos on Youtube.  As I love to be creative and use a lot of different materials, this just seemed so perfect for me.  This is a way to keep a journal without having to write something meaningful... a big plus from my perspective, as I think my life isn’t that meaningful at all :)
And it’s a way to ensure you take some time for yourself… some kind of meditation.

I used everything that came into my way: photos, snippets from magazines, stamps, stickers, old maps, all kind of colours (Acrylic paint, ink, watercolours, pastels) etc.
See some of my pages for yourself:

I hope I can keep up my art journaling... doing it once a month would be great!
